Cupping<\/h1>\n\n

Cupping is a method in which a cup made of glass, bamboo or earthenware is applied to the skin surface. This is done by briefly heating the brim of the cup, so that a vacuum force is created locally on the skin. The function of this method is to dissipate \u201cWind-Cold\u201d and to relieve blood stagnation and pain. It would also affect the meridians, pathways in the body through which energy flows, according to Acupuncture theory.<\/p><\/p>\n\n

After a cupping treatment, a red spot may be visible locally. This is a normal phenomenon and will disappear after a few days. After the redness has disappeared, a reduction of symptoms is expected.
